HELMET KICKS CLUB FRED'S ASS
Alt Metal Gods HELMET played Club Fred in Fresno last night and The Fresnan was there. I call them Gods because that's what I think they are. Singer Page Hamilton IS a genius and, after all these years, I finally saw his genius in action, in one of my favorite clubs (and I've got the audio and video proof)
First off, you can download this audio clip of Page telling the Club Fred crowd a story from Helmet's previous visit to Fresno and how they helped a heat-stroked Fresno teen: Page'sFresnoStory.mp3
Now check a metal hair fueled video clip of the show and (most importantly) the moshpit:
Dorktown sucks at recording videos. I admit it. They are not so much for look-at-our-quality-of-production, more for atmosphere. One day we'll get all professional and stuff.
Until that day, here's some atmosphere from the Fresno State vs. Sacramento State game this past Saturday: Fresno State Game Video
No, not exactly. This new venue isn't really new or open...but it's a venue. The venue in question, The Pavilion, hosted a live show from the Fresno band Super Lucky Catz that was recorded for the Dorktown Podcast.
I say not open because it's just the patio where Dorktown records our shows (when the weather is good). Last night, the weather was good and so was Super Lucky Catz, even if it was acoustic and with half their band. Check out how good they sounded by listening to Dorktown Episode 48.
PLUS, download this bonus song [Superhuman.mp3] that was performed after the podcast. Rob The Voice just goes OFF towards the end and vamps about everything from Fresno, Trump and the Visalia music festival.
Below is a video clip of SLC on the Dorktown Podcast. There's more if you listen to the podcast - and it sounds better too.
The Deftones YouTube channel just posted a video from their recent show in Fresno. It's very quick clips of the show but it's still a fun watch. A couple of nice shots of the Rainbow Ballroom crowd; Check it here.
Has there ever been a live broadcast of a wifflball game in the history of wiff? Well, Sunday may be the first. Check out the video below straight from that Commish Nerd for what it will look like Sunday as the Fresno Wiffleball League streams games live.
Here is one of the places you'll be able to watch: Video Page

Nobody debates who should be the starting left-tackle or corner-back, they debate about the starting quarterback. There was plenty of Brandstater vs. Colburn debating going on at the Fresno State spring scrimmage game Saturday.
Dorktown was there to check it out and take some video. The REAL debate became, which quarterback is better at signing his autograph. You decide:
