You Always Want What You Can't Have

This past Thursday, Rick Bentley and his goatee reported what Dale Julin has been saying on his radio show for some time: Fresno Mayor Alan "you can call me Bubba" Autry has a crush on KMJ's Ray Appleton and doesn't desire any other Fresno radio talk show hosts.

A jaded Mr. Julin says he has repeatedly asked Mayor Autry's public info officer Ken "At least three times in the past month." to have "Bubba" come on his show but has been told by "Ken" that Fresno's mayor doesn't have time. But Mr. Mayor has had time to come on Appleton's conservative-white-guy-with-perpetual-midlife-crisis-and-head-burried-in-sand-radio-talk-show, on several occassions.

My suggestion to Dale is to start playing hard to get with the mayor - he'll come around eventually. Really Dale, just play it cool and wait it out. Because one day soon, Mayor Autry may catch Appleton talking with some other younger, more attractive mayor, and guess who Autry will come running to, Dale - Yep, Rick Bentley's goatee.
